Dennis Walsh D.Ch., Chiropodist, is currently available every Thursday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm by appointment. A referral from a physician is not necessary. Chiropody services are not covered by O.H.I.P. Current fees are: $50.00 for the initial visit and $35.00 for every subsequent visit. (Receipts are given upon payment). The Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre can only accept cash or cheques at this time.

What is Chiropody?

Chiropodists and Podiatrists are the only registered foot specialists in Ontario. Chiropody is the assessment of the foot and the treatment and prevention of diseases or disorders of the foot by therapeutic, orthotic and palliative means. Don't underestimate the importance of healthy feet! Foot deformities, infections and injuries not only limit your mobility, but also can detrimentally affect your knees, hips, and other parts of the body.

What does a Chiropodist Do?

Chiropodists specialize in the recognition, assessment, treatment, and ongoing care of the foot. An essential member of the health care team, the Chiropodist has many skills and techniques that help patients eliminate foot pain, gain mobility, and maintain healthy feet.

What Do Chiropodists Treat:

• Sports injuries
• Common foot conditions such as: corns, warts, ingrown toe nails and calluses
• Foot infections caused by medical conditions such as diabetes
• Foot deformities and misalignments.
